Last night at the Seahorse was incredible! The crowd was so responsive and energetic – we really enjoyed sharing the stage with Cold Warps, Bad Vibrations and Soaking up Jagged. The Seahorse is a beautiful venue and we are so happy we were on the bill! As we began packing up our gear, we thought the night was almost too good to be true. INDEED!
After we loaded up into the van, the engine refused to start. UH OH! So began our late-night ordeal: sandwiched between two cars on a freezing cold night that caused our battery to fail. We called a contractor who arrived 45 minutes later and began troubleshooting. We got a boost from his big truck which started the engine (YAY!!!).
BUT…Halifax was not through with us just yet…
We drove our gear back to our friend Aaron’s “cottage” and of course, out of habit we shut the engine off. BIG MISTAKE! Immediately, we tried to restart the van and it was DEAD…AGAIN! By this point it was 4am and we realized our van died in the middle of the road. We were defeated and did not want to wake up another mechanic. We simply wrote a note explaining our situation, hoping that we wouldn’t get towed away. We all decided that the best thing to do was to sleep and deal with it in the morning. Luckily, the sign was a success: we didn’t even get a ticket! We had to call another contractor but luckily, day-time rates are more affordable. Things are turning up!
Still no proper Internet access, hence the lack of updates!

Hey everyone we arrived today in Halifax safe and sound after a really fun show in Sackville with our great new friends Jane’s Party and By Divine Right. We’ve really been enjoying the drives to new cities and we’ll update with some more stuff very soon… Big thanks to Bryan in Charlottetown and Adrienne and Aly in Sackville for giving us couches an floors to sleep on!
We’re in Fredericton tomorrow night at The Capital and then back in Halifax for shows on Saturday night so come say hi!

We arrived in Montreal bright and early on Saturday for a radio interview with Natalia from Radio Centre-ville. We killed some time by enjoying some delicious Montreal bagels. Our good friend David joined us on our adventure and took some time out of his busy schedule to do an interview on our behalf (check out earlier posts). Due to extreme exhaustion from our night in Ottawa, we spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping in warm cozy nests at our friend Pia’s house (thanks Pia).
We rolled in to Absythne around 7pm for sound check and we were welcomed with buttery popcorn from the bar! YAY! Later, we sat down for a video interview with Max from Vtele who also filmed a few tunes from our set. People started flooding in while the night was still young, and we had a great time dancing and partying together all night! As a result of our extreme excitement to be back in Montreal, a few glasses were unfortunately broken (Sorry Absythne!!!!). Thanks a million to Jane’s Party for sharing the stage with us and for their awesome set. We are so happy to be on the road with these guys. Check them out! Also, thanks to our family, friends and fans for coming out for the fun!!!!
